Yup...... Well, almost.

I was a 15 year old apprentice and had bowloxed a job so the bloke who was mentoring me was all for taking me outside and beating me to death with the sweaty sock etc..........

another pic from the collection , the heating system is tapped off the lighting circuit , now here's the bit, its in an airing cupboard which is in the bathroom , ive not mentioned who it is but its got there name on the programmer , and to use a marker pen to identify an green and yellow earth wire that's actually a live conductor to me just beggers belife

See this all the time. Fully pumped wiring all crammed into a single box. Terminal blocks everywhere. Cpc's used as pump live supply from boiler because they didn't pull in enough cores. Wiring centres (honeywell etc ) were introduced in the mid eighties to "tidy things up" but even they can be a pig's ear. Think you made a great job of tidying up that mess. It's satisfying but a lot guys have an "out of sight out of mind" attitude.
