There are 1552s and 1553s on ebay for 250-285 plus delivery on top of course available now, so 300-325 ish all in, I would suggest you look no farther than the 1500 series, I have owned most MFTs and the 1500 series IMHO is the best range of MFTs on the market by a million miles, nothing else comes close in my opinion.I was looking at the kewtech one in screwfix earlier 350 or so.

The best on the market in my view, even better than the 1700 series, hence the reason I just sold mine lolIs that the best for around my price range or your opinion against the other meggar ones, I.e the 1700 range.

Hope I don't offend anyone lol, that tester is a good entry level piece of equipment, and suitible for the Domestic electrician who does the odd job here and there, when you start testing jobs weekly and test all types of work a better model would be my advice, a Meggar or fluke or something like these more suitible for the professional IMO, hard hat on and I am in the bunker.I was looking at the kewtech one in screwfix earlier 350 or so.

yes of course, also to add the 1553 has blue tooth enablility unlike the 1552, but both are superb bits of test equipment.Does the 1500 series have the rcd anti trip on them?
I stand corrected.you missed out the jeep cherokee.
Have to disagree there, Fender basses are horrible ugly things imho. The bodies are all too big and clunky.and 1963 Fender Precision,
kewtech leads fit.Do megger 1500 series leads fit into kewtech accessories? Or do megger have their own range, if they do, I can't find them.
will you use the bluetooth features etc? if not get the 1553.im in a pickle of picking between the mft 1553 or the 1730 :s
there are plenty of phone app'sit would be nice to simply integrate tests to my phone then to my pc later instead of noting them down but thats just me trying to be lazy haha if you remove the bluetooth feature is there much difference at all?
there are plenty of phone app's
the niceic have an app and i think the others will soon if they don't already
