I'm trying to source a type of gland we used to use many years ago on commercial appliances. It's a standard 20 or 25mm gland for a trailing cable but it has a stiff stainless steel criss-cross very loosely woven wire assembly on the back of it that assists the bend radius of the cable where it leaves the appliance. They were quite long, possibly between six inches and a foot.
I don't know if you've ever seen those joke finger handcuffs. It's like a woven tube you can push your finger in and when you try to pull free it tightens. Well those glands were like that but using s/steel wire instead.
If anyone knows an international supplier or even just the proper name for these glands I'd be very grateful.
