Afternoon all,
Current situation is - Adult learner (I'm 38 in a few weeks) I have my Level 2&3 (obtained last September) started learning at college on an evening about 3 years back and went from there) My 18th Edition (obtained Jan this year) and have now obtained my ECS card (came yesterday).
Currently Work a full time non trade job and I have been doing smaller jobs where I can (mainly friends/family) and on my own house, I have done alterations/extensions (which are straight forward in the grand scheme of things to more experienced sparks) done, an unoccupied re wire and board change, testing and some fault finding.
Also in the process of learning to drive (I know I've left this a long time) which is obviously limiting me at the moment.
My plan going forward is do my NVQ and AM2 rout but want to get as much exposure to different types of jobs, (I'd like to work on some commercial and 3ph set ups) more fault finding I have my own tools and MFT.
Posted a a few things here since joining the forum, but anyway if anyone (based in Leeds) needs a spare pare of hands, I'm not afraid of graft and keen to soak up knowledge from a someone of more experience.
My hope is that once I have more experience under my belt, I can switch fully to working as an improver and onwards.
