Being a bit naughty, as this isn't electrical, but I thought It would get far more replies rather than in another part of the forum. Reckon I've got an hour or two before Westward spots it ?.

I need to get some weight plates for my barbell, standard 1" diameter hole (not olympic size). However, prices are ridiculous, so i am going to make my own, reinforced concrete weight plates. As above, they need to fit onto a standard barbell which is 25mm in diameter. They will have a small plastic (or metal) pipe in the centre of them so they can slip on and off of the bar easily, and this is what i am struggling to find.

25 mm conduit has an outer diameter of 25mm so is no good. 28mm (outer diameter) flo plast from screfix llooks like it slips over 22mm pipe, so again not big enough.

Anybody know where I can get pipe that has an inner diameter between 26mm and 28mm?

The 25mm conduit connectors 'just' slip on to the barbell, but they are too tight, hence going for 26mm minimum

Split rod in an electric drill, wrap some sandpaper around the rod and ream out the 25mm conduit connector, just a thought.

Just measure an existing weight plate. It has an inner diameter or 28mm, I think 26mm will be too small.

Found some!!
