Hi,
Looking to purchase a Trumpf laser table that uses 90 amps and wanting to run from a 150KW diesel generator. Can this be done and if so, what would be required for a UPS? Thank you
Trumph TruLaser 3040
Watts 4,000
Type L32
Manufactured March 2012
Electrical Supply 460 V / 60 Hz
Full load current 90 Amps
Amp rating of largest motor 7.9 amps
Necessary fuse protection 3 x 160 Amp
Air supply 100 - 145 psi
Nitrogen supply 390 psi
Oxygen supply 210 psi
Have a 3 phase diesel generator that produces 150 KVA, 125KW
Looking to have the unit set up remotely where 3 phase power is not available.
You might want to check with Trumph if there is any special shut-down procedure / power requierments to allow key components to be cooled as the system stops.
That might point to a risk of damage if the generator cuts out in an unplanned manner, so then you may well be looking at a battery (or flywheel?) UPS as well to allow a few minutes graceful shutdown.
