i'd like to restore that. would look brill on the mantlepiece, but 'er indoors ain't got no class. all bloody figurswines and flowers. can't stop sneezing for the buggers.

You could enjoy restoring it and then send it to a good home for retired electric equipment aka LN's electrokinetica museum.

I had dark reddish brown bakelite one of those which I picked up for £7 a couple of years ago. Was going to keep it but I put it on Ebay when I had a tidy out. Got £20 for it so happy with that though.

It was very heavy.
