Made a big mistake on a job need advice

I think i was rushing to fit a new light fitting. And got some cables trapped . Long story short light fitting smoked and went black. Have replaced fitting but really knocked my confidence is this just part of the job.feeling like a damn cowboy

Oh yes, I've burnt my hair once, burnt all the hair off my arm a couple of times, singed the beard once or twice.

But then I do work on professional firework displays

I am flawed, but I am sure there are other people out there who classify themselves as unflawed (professionally) and I am fully ready for all of them to dislike my post.
