hi just done a PIR to a flat with old DBs
it had 2 DBs next to each other 1 for sockets etc and the other for old storage heating wich is not used anymore the 2 boards were supplyed by 16mm tails and 6 mm earth now the suppyl has a 60A main fuse and i done caculations to find out what the minimum size should be and came up with 5.somthing mm so this would have been ok but what i done was took 6mm cable out of old econamy 7 board and put 2 in other DB so DB has 12mm earth in it.
now im happy its safe i done other things to the flat to make it safe like main water was bonded and after that the plumber and put a plastic 90 on silly things like that were sorted .
i know this dose not conform to bs7671 17th edition but do you think i have done the right thing?
i have 2391 etc but mainly do commercial and i think its up to me to say weather its safe or not and i made it safe but am i right saying this or should i have done more?
