Main fuse query

Hi I’m planning on getting my house re-wired soon, the installation at the minute is an ancient old fuse board with all sorts going on in there! My main fuse is rated at 60 amp and my question is should I get the dno in to upgrade if needed to 80 or 100 amp! Am I best doing this before or after re-wire?
Will 60 amp be ok staying put?
It’s a 3 bed semi.

There must surely be some point where your responsibility ends and the electricity supply company is responsible for the equipment, or do you do everything as far back as their substation?

We take it from the jacks at the substations then to the switch gear so ours start at the substation

It's not priced per amp!
The price can be anywhere from a couple of hundred pounds if it's as simple as having the fuse or cutout changed, to tens of thousands if they have to dig up the street and replace the cable.

If it’s a house you would not be able to get 3 phase only industrial

To start with we are not talking about new installations for a huge plant we I thought we was taking about houses power is already there and you might upgrade but that doesn’t mean the power does. You upgrade the new service and the power company hits it. What you are talking about is what we call it a capital project, like a new company buying land and building from scratch an industrial project. We have nothing to do with that we set the gear and run it out to where the power company wants.
