My older daughters, both nurses, tried to do emergency maintenance with a syringe full of heroin to a camel they hit in my Caddillac Ambulance 620 ci V8 T400,they had partially got him in to to take him to a vet when a redneck cop pulled up,said drag him out and shot him dead with a S/W 29 10'' barrel, our cat started yowling the cop said what is he saying, one girl said, I think he's trying to say,''go ahead, make my day''.

I can also do random. Your talk of animals and rednecks reminds me of when I lived in the US for a while, I spent a year or so hitch hiking and working whenever I felt like it and for a time I was employed by a guy I got to know in Georgia. I used to take tour groups around the local swamps sometimes for a couple of days and sometimes just for a single daytrip.

Whilst on a day tour we were in the same area as a boat full of rednecks. They were loud, they were drunk, they were abusive and they were armed to the teeth and I'd been trying to lose them for several hours but to no avail. As we paddled along one of the smaller canals I spotted a very large water moccasin about 20 yards away hanging out on a log about a foot above the water. I picked up a beer bottle which I'd fished out of the water earlier that day when the rednecks had thrown it overboard and I waited until we had passed the snake and when nobody was looking I hurled the bottle at the snake. I missed it by a country mile but a few seconds later it gently dropped into the water and disappeared.

About half a minute after that there was chaos and noise coming from the redneck's boat behind us. I turned around just in time to see one of them trying to fight off the snake with his paddle and another took a few shots at it just before it launched itself onto their boat to attack them. I didn't even slow down and when some of my group asked what was going on I just pleaded ignorance.

I had a moral in mind when I started typing this story but I've forgotten what it was now although I remember it was very profound.
