Evening all.. Been putting up rows of square lights this week.. Some rooms 3 lights ( in a row) some rooms 2 rows of 4.. My questions is.. What is the hack to getting these spot on? The problem i was having, was lining the rows up with each other.. Got there eventually but there has got to be a hack or some kind of basic way to help you out?

It's the worst feeling in the world when you put your hand in a hole after drilling and there's no cable there! Had that once when the insulation was fitted between the cables and plasterboard, not a fun day!

I clip the cable half way up the nearest joist, you know it makes sense!!

Dewalt cross laser level its the only one worth buying

That combined with some red glasses to enhance the line in bright light situations.

An old fashioned way of doing it is a string line. The posh way is a laser level

Do you watch Gold Rush on telly?? It's about these dumb-assed Yanks who are mining for gold in Alaska. Any way, in a recent episode, they were marking out their claim using a GPs carry on and everything was spot-on - except somehow they were on the wrong claim! Great stuff - especially since the bloke using it had been bragging about how quick, easy & accurate it was.
