Hi first post, hope some one can help, I have 2, 12v 100w solar panels in series to make 24v system, panel specs are

Dimensions (H xW x D) in mm 1060 x 669x 35

Cells permodule 36

Weight in kg 10

Power max.(Pmax) 100 W

Voltage max.18.75 V

Current max.(Imp) 5.36 A

Open circuitvoltage 22.06 V

Short circuitcurrent 6.02 A

I have purchased a mastervolt 600 grid tie inverter, in good sunlight If I connect it up to the panels I get nothing no lights or response from the inverter, measured voltage on the solar and I am getting 43v open circuit but the inverter does not respond,

I have another two 100w 12v panels on order to wire in series for 24v but even with the panelsI have I would have expected the inverter to do something, concerned now I have bought a dud unit of ebay, any advise please, thanks in advance

The Soladin has an MPP voltage range of 40-125V, which is more than your two panels will produce when connected to the inverter. Adding another 2 panels in series to your existing 2 should sort you out.
