Hi,

Ok, so see the consumer unit below, this happens to be one I fitted, but anyway...

I am going to be moving house soon and am going to replace the CU thats in the house with one of these Hager boards, exactly the same.

[ElectriciansForums.net] Maybe a stupid question...

I want to put the security alarm and a supply to my secure store room, and roller gagage door on their own RCBO's...

Is this a stupid question but where would you connect the supply neutral to the RCBO too exactly? I know with the MK boards they give you space on a main neutral bar, but this doesn't have one.

Am i right in thinking I need some extra bits for the rail at the top?

I never fit RCBO's hence the question, I have probably only ever fitted 3 in my life, I know how they connect but just wondered what you would do with this board?

Thanks,

The BG stuff is fantastic. I recently fitted an MK Sentry...never again! One of the RCDs refused to trip so was binned and the pre-wired tri-rated links pulled apart out of the factory installed crimps.

Also, I got beasted on here about a board I installed like the one pictured due to lack of IP protection on cable entry at the top of the board,

just saying...

Looks like all the cables enter the rear of the pictured board to me.

Stick a bit of trunking or some boxing to tidy things up? Joinery isn't rocket science thats why many of them drag their knuckles.

I'd go for a Hager board. Eddies are very expensive but weirdly my CEF are very cheap at the moment?!

2 year guarantee on Hager, not sure about Wylex and BG?

Schneider CUs look very neat and tidy if they have to be on show.
I've just fitted one in the hallway of my parents' house as it had to move due to the meter being moved to make way for an extension.

I get them fitted with MCBs and RCBOs (SPSN) of my specification from SBS.

If two tariffs are sufficient, and you don't need too many ways, you can easily add an SPD kit to the Fusebox F2014DT dual tariff board. The only...
