can anyone tell me how you check a mcb will function under the designed short circuit capacity

Suppose it's like air bags you could test them by driving into a wall ................you could test a MCB's PSCC by shoving 6Ka across it and see if it disintergrates................I don't fancy driving into a wall or playing with 6Ka so have to trust the BS standards
