Hey guys!

I have recently been ask to install a submain to a customers workshop.

The installation I was going to use was a 100mA DP Timedelay RCD with a 32A MCB at the supply origin for the SWA submain. In the workshop I was wondering if I can install and DP Isolator with RCBOs to protect the circuits?

Obviously the RCBO's I would use will be 20A and under to allow for discrimination.

Do you think that maybe the method shown in the article is recommended if a time delay trip is not installed on the submain, to avoid nuscience tripping?

Don't worry about linking the outbuildings EMT to the MET it's all part of single sourced TT installation, and should be linked

Generally speaking, a time delayed 100/300mA RCD located at the supply end of the installation will effectively avoid nuisance tripping of any 30mA RCD's located at the load end of the sub-main. This will be in addition to providing added earth fault protection to your TT system...
