How do you mega a cicuit and wat should tester be set on etc cheers for the help

The megger is a brand of test instrument which may perform a number of different tests......which one precisely were you planning to carry out?

Yes I know there are megga testers but iv heard people say they are going to megga the armoured or the circuit

As previously stated Megger is a brand name it is a Insulation Resistance test you carry out even though people say they megger a circuit, if you put down in a exam you megger a circuit it will be marked wrong as you have used incorrect terminology.

It is better to start to calling it a IR test now.

Its just a saying using the meggers name i wouldnt like to test at megga volts 500 is well enough

it should be IR or Insulation resitance test , infact to confuse matter even more people are putting do not Meggar on ther equipment , so if i use my Fluke on 1000 volts it will be ok then lol

Cj24 you have started a thread on every test known to man.....unless you have some knowledge of the basics I cant see that an internet forum can be of any real help to you.
