megger 1552 faulty

dropped my megger - about 2 ft -it worked ok after for 2 tests.
noticed all the leds lit on top screen and would not switch off except by removing batteries.
all internal fuses checked ok and all connections ok and no damage to pcbs.
i am presuming this fault is not actually a fault but a vibration detector sensing the fall and putting the megger into check mode.
Q.noticed several pins on the inside on one of the pcb's including the reset pin does any one know the specific reset sequence.
i imagine it woud go like short reset pin to pin x and connect battery remove short - check mode cleared

My 1502 went of the scaffold couple of years back on PV install . Poor thing bounced but still worked. I had it calibrated shortly after.

Dropped my meter today, only from the top of a cupboard onto carpet, but all seems OK, so far...
Last time it bent the battery contacts and I thought it was all over, but opened it up, pushed out the contact and all fine ever since, phew!

Dropped mine god knows how many time, only problem with it (other than something rattling inside haha) is the fuse blowing fairly regularly on IR tests, which is slightly annoying.

Always liked the 1552's. Physically they were very robust but electronically I feel they had a lot of issues! I had 3 or 4 in my time which constantly blew the external 500mA fuse and sometimes the internal one. Now using the 1720 which has changed the game for me, great unit!
