Megger 1553. Worth buying to do basic domestic stuff ?

The 1553 will do all the tests; except it won't test the A type Rcd's. Was using a 1552 till about a year ago.

I would have that if I were you, They were reputed to be bulletproof.

Its mine now ..! Even had brand new Duracells inside .I would say 95% as new .I was going to up the budget and get a "Di-Log" .But will settle for this .

Still got my old faithful Megger 1552. Use it as a backup for my 1741+.

MY logic is to keep this for a bit (I always look after tools ) then move it on when I can get a newish tester at a good deal. I notice there are always times when people dump testers due to some changes in the regs etc !
