Megger MFT1721 Err76

Picked up a 2nd hand megger mft1721 yesterday after my tools got stolen from my van and needed one in a hurry

Seemed ok when I picked it up, checked it and did a few basic tests all ok.

Today it’s showing err76 and shuts down after a few seconds.

I’ve tried changing the batteries and checked internal fuses, and resetting the tester but to no avail.

Anyone had this? I’ve searched online but can find very little info.

There have been at least a couple of threads on here about ERROR 76. None with a solution except 'return to Megger!'

(I know that's not exactly the same model - but I thought the comment about knob positions might be of interest)

Cheers Avo, I had seen that post but it makes no difference what position the switched are in.
I just figured that as it was a few years ago someone else may have experienced the same problem
