hi, i cant seem to find any threads on this but is anyone selling the megger powersuite software? i cant seem to find any at a sensible price?....

Kieth I'll dig out my old cd , if I find it u can have it free, its outdated but it will give u a feel for it.

Nice one! What's so bad about it? The problem I'm having is I want to fill out certificates digitally, I can't use PDF that people have posted on here because I'm using a mac I'm stuck unless I can find certificates in excel or word format!

I am a very IT orientated person, having being involved with computing for 20 years. I feel this software does not save any time. It is quicker for me to write down the results on a photocopy schedule and then type my certificate out in the software later. The bluetooth thing is just gimmicky for me. It takes longer to set your PDA to the correct field, do the test then press the transmit button and send each reading to the PDA. If the megger MFT 1553 had the facility to store all results then it might work but holding a PDA as well as the tester and wander lead, etc. is something an octopus would struggle with. For me I was disappointed, but thankfully my meter just came with powersuite anyway.... I didn't specifically order it. Personally I would have a look at it before you commit your cash.

topcop999 has it right......

I've been told not to waste my money, I simply complete the cert attached to a clipboard then complete my Tysoft Easycert software when I get home - in the post, job done.
I'd advise you to sink your money into good piece of electrical software!

Would anyone have a spare copy for sale or do a copy so i could have a play with it. I also do sound and lighting and that has so much software now but the companies offer it for free as you paid for the hardware

I think the powersuite software being viable really depends on the scale of the job that you are testing. If i was testing a domestic cu with 10 circuits i would agree that it would be easier and quicker to scribble cert out by hand and then write up on software after. When testing large installations i find it easier and quicker to use the powersuite software on site and download results straight to lap top or pda.

If you contact Megger they will send you a 30 day free trial CD. I have been using that for the last 18 months with a Megger DV4 PAT tester & a Megger 1552. I complete EIC's manually because the 1552 has no bluetooth, but I think the certificates look more professional done on computer than in my inky scrawl!

PM me for trial work around.
