I was up at 6am this morning, it was too hot to sleep. By 7.30am the thermometer on my porch said it was already over 30 degrees C. It's now showing way over 40 C and I've sweated buckets whilst eating Christmas lunch and I've just been in the swimming pool which is warmer than bath water. I even burned the soles of my feet on the paving as I was getting in and the 48000 BTU of airconditioning that's running in the house isn't cutting the mustard.

I actually miss the cold wet weather, Christmas isn't the same in the middle of an African summer.
