connected bw gland 20mm into top centre face.

Went to fit faceplate and isn't designed to accept gland in from top. Utter rubbish.
 
Could post a link to what you mean, any type of adapter/connector that is fitted to the box will have a hex nut locking it inside, this is what is causing the faceplate not to fit on, the gland itself is fine, it is the locknut inside that is the problem.
 
Surely the bush edge is as wide as the locknut an similar depth, to be able to get spanner or finger around to tighten, this would give the same effect of obstructing the innererds of the face plate.

If the faceplate is turned 180 ie cable and gland comming from underneath, the the faceplate fits, it just hasn't been designed to accept cable glands comming in from the top IMO

Ridiculous post, you obviously use a coupler and bush and gland into that, don't these colleges teach you anything these days haha
