Meter box

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with this. On one of my jobs there is a recessed outdoor meter box that the door is hanging off. I know that it's probably DNO's responsibility but the builder spoke to someone at SSE and they weren't interested. Has anyone else had this problem? It's the hinges on the box that are pooped and someone's tried to joey it up with door hinges unsuccessfully! Any suggestions?

The box belongs to the customer and so is their problem to sort it out.
Obviously SSE will have to get involved to remove and refit the head when the box is replaced.

It's amazing what you can find on Google eh!! Found a replacement door and mount that fits over the existing one. Just have to remove the existing architrave.

Correct Dave, we carry out light maintenance, locks and door hinges,< that are not snapped off.
