I need to get my Fluke Multi-Function meter calibrated, and I want to conduct a quick straw-poll to see if I can get it cheaper.

To date, I pay in the region of ÂŁ110 inc. VAT for a same-day turnaround...therefore what I am looking for is:

1. Meter type (multi-function or individual pieces)
2. Cost of calibration inc VAT
3. Same-day, i.e. drop off and wait, or send off (if send off, what was the turn-around)
4. Where was it calibrated
5. Level customer service?

Cheers

Where abouts are you?

My Fluke goes to Norwich, Less money than your paying and about 10day turnaround.

However I have recently heard about 'a man who can' who comes to you and does it while you watch and is very reasonable on prices!!!

Re: which meter is best

Hi Guys
im new on forum.could u plz tell me which multi function meter is better.Fluke r kewtech nd wot model:confused:

Hi, tends to be personal preference really. I have had Kewtech testers, not multifunction, and they were good...This time around, I have gone for a Fluke multifunction, and to be honest, I cannot fault it.

The thing to consider is by having a multifinction tester, is that if it fails, then you are essentially without a tester while it is repaired...if you have individual testers, i.e. IR/Cont. EFL, RCD, etc, then if one fails, then at least you can use the others.

Don't forget megger in your deliberations...I think I might give them a try the next time I am on the market for a tester, as I used to have meggers years ago, and again, I could not fault them.

Cheers boatnik1, I'll give them a buzz tomorrow.

Cheers boatnik1...I rang them today, and it is booked in for tomorrow...ÂŁ45 for a multifunction!

Thanks everyone else for their responses!

Good job, but it looks like they've bumped their prices since the last time I used them. ÂŁ25.00 + ÂŁ4.95. and return within 4days.

And I think we may be talking about the same guy.....OSCS, chaps name is Mike (NUMBER BY PM)

Circuit solution, I use a fluke 1651, my mate uses the latest kewtech, both are equally good, I paid ÂŁ190 brand new, box and all leads but no instructions for mine on flea bay (GOT LUCKY) and he paid ÂŁ600 for his from a good dealer.

Mine has been faultless and just needed calibration ÂŁ80ish

Hope this helps
