Not sure if I'm in the right area here, and I know there are other threads, but just wondering if anyone knows a decent and importantly reasonable place or person to get my MFT calibrated? I've noticed some guys have found "walk in" places, this would be good as it would be a right pain to be without it for days on end. I am in Derby/Notts area.

I pay £50+VAT through wholesaler who drop them off at WNTE but it's normally 2-3 days turnaround.
If you need it same day then probably best to go them direct but might cost a bit more. Give them a call.

Hi all few years ago had meter calibrated at a Wholsalers on their cheap day no problems meter came back with cert all ok, however was on a job few months later & had a technical problem with meter.

Problem was during testing I had over voltage found because a guy had plugged in his plug in tester & it found a fault I was called in & plugged in my tester (Kew tek) unit & all was ok so as we had 2 different readings I got the fluke 1653 from van.
could not get ZS reading single phase socket on three phase install.
So rang fluke to see what the over voltage max for the unit was to let it test the circuit.
He asked for serial number of unit was it calibrated yes, then asked current FIRMWARE how the hell do I find this, press this button & that button tell me what display says.
Told him reading & he replied he could not comment on my over voltage & the meter tolerance as my calibration & firmware were invalid for the Meter (6 years out of date) said I had calibration cert.
Was told that if both not current then you are not covered.
Went back to Wholsalers the next year with unit at the open day asked the guy doing testing to upgrade my firmware answer we don't have time for this & it would have to be sent away for bench testing calibration.
Fluke said they would carry out a calibration of unit & this would include the firmware upgrade not sure of costs as I have not had any faults like this.
But begs the question what's happens if you had a serious issue at a premises & they ask for your test results & meter calibration & you provide it but they then inform you that your calibration is invalid?
