meter problem

Wired up a pv system over Christmas but meter is not ticking over.When connecting generation meter should inverter tails go into incoming side of meter as i have wired mains tails into incoming side.Will this correct the problem?Seems to work fine otherwise.Cheers.

you've wired it the wrong way round, your array is the supply

Was told the meter wound forward and back depending on usage and could get no technical info as supplier was on holiday.Anyway know now thanks all.

Well of course my flex is connected to a 230v supply! Tut!
