Hi All,

i'm sure this has been discussed before, but what would you suggest the longest length of meter tails should be.
I know I should ask the distributor, but I am looking for a general view.

Thanks in advance
Weston

Some allow 3 meters if the meter is on the inside and 4 if its in a cavity box.

It either case, anymore than that will require a switch fuse and they are a pain in the ---.

Thanks for the reply's. I have heard 2m tails before, which is what I have kind of stuck to.

Thanks again
Weston

When I did my suitability test for 2391 they asked this . Can't remember what I put but it was a lot more than the desired "Not more than 5M". Don't know wether this is a local supply reg.

Its down to the local DNO to advise.

Figures i gave were a 'general' rule.
