hi,i have just been to look at a consumer change, all is quite straightforward apart from the meter tails.the main incomer and meter is in a box on the out side wall the tails then go through the wall to the consumer unit which is aprox 1m higher.the owners have at some time plastered the wall and covered the tails but are clearly visible when going into the consumer unit(origionally garage) how do i protect the meter tails.? ihave two schools of thought. one is to run tails on outside wall in metal trunking then through wall to back of consumer unit.or two run tails in plastic trunking surface mounted on inside wall up to consumer unit. any advice greatly appreciated, thanks method two would be easier for me

plastic is fine. esp inside. one point i should like to make is where the tails pass through the cavity wall, they should be protected with pvc tube. 25mm plastic conduit should suffice
