I'm thinking of buying the Metrel 9210 mini clamp meter.
Just for measuring current of household / small commercial devices.
Is it any good?

Erm...I can't find one that does? Even a ÂŁ200 Fluke only had a resolution of 0.1A???!!

Except for the ÂŁ28 one at Maplin which measures to 0.001 resolution under 2A, unfortunately it only displays 3 digits, so it's probably a mistake in the specifications!

Hi Rampagne,
The Metrel MD9210 is a decent and fairly reasonably priced clamp, however as you might have gathered it is not going to measure mA and is therefore not suitable for earth leakage fault finding. For this purpose you would need an actual earth leakage clamp meter which generally are more expensive than your standard clamps. We supply the following range of earth leakage clamps: Earth Leakage Clamp meters - Clampmeters Measure Earth Leakage
We also supply and stock the MD9210 as well: Metrel MD 9210 Mini Clamp Meter
all products are eligible for your 5% forum discount.
Hope this helps...
