Speak to Metrel there can be issues with the rotary selector. Metrel can do a full service and calibration I had 61557 eurotest serviced a few years ago for around £200 which is my backup MFT having upgraded to a 3152I have just bought a Metrel instaltest 61557 machine and it will not switch on, I have checked the fuses and batteries all that side seems to be OK Please anyone with a solution ? I would be surprised if the rotary selector would cause a no power on.Speak to Metrel there can be issues with the rotary selector. Metrel can do a full service and calibration I had 61557 eurotest serviced a few years ago for around £200 which is my backup MFT having upgraded to a 3152

When it comes to faults you can't rule anything out until proved otherwiseI would be surprised if the rotary selector would cause a no power on.
Having spoken to Gorazd at Metrel some time ago the rotary selectors on all testers can and does affect the instruments ongoing working calibration which is why when Metrel service the 61557 they replace the rotary selector as part of the servicing procedure.I wouldn't be spending £200 when you can pick them up for between £100 - £250 some with new calibration.
