Hi,
My new leakage tester arrived so I wanted to try it out, I connected it to the Line and Neutral meter tails and got a total leakage with all circuits on of 8.05 ma, I turned them all off and re-tested individually and found that the first floor ring final was giving the highest leakage of 6.34 ma
I wanted to see how this result compared to an RCD ramp test so I turned all circuits off and connected direct to the RCD and it tripped at 24ma, I turned the ring final circuit back on and re-tested and to my surprise I got the same result of 24ma??? Indicating that I have no leakage which is not true.
The tester is a Fluke 1653 which is not long back from being calibrated.
BTW: The new Metrel 9272 is a fantastic bit of kit and I cant wait to use it fully.
Any ideas?
