MF ceilings and fire containment

Hi all , just quoting for some flat/apartments which will all be concrete ceilings with a 150mm MF ceiling , plaster boarded and skimmed . I’ve not done any for a few years so want to know what the minimum is now for fire containment? Is it acceptable to tie to MF rods with metal tyraps ? ( rough but got to be competetive on price ) or is tray a must ? Or could I make some loops out of all round band ? Just wondering what sparks use nowadays ? Cheers

When you say fire containment I assume you mean cable support in the event of a fire.

Wire as normal using using bang in cable tie bases or spit fixings and spit gun. Then screw all round band in in few places that’s adequate enough to give enough support in the event of a fire. Using cable tray is not going to make you competitive.

As above bang in tie supports and every so often some metal banding...

Tray will almost certainly make you very uncompetitive against other house badger quotes...

If the cables are going to be plaster bordered and skimmed over, then they are deemed to be within the fabric of the building and no special requirements are needed with regards to fire safety.
