i called mike at on site calibration services. he arranged to call within 1 week, turned up on time, did the calibration, took about 90 mins. as there was a fault on the MFT (on continuity only), charged ÂŁ50. emailed calibration cert that evening.no down time, no shipping costs. A1 service. highly recommended.

Some major wholesalers have coffee mornings and apparently through them you can it done for as little a ÂŁ40

They also sell nice cakes and sing Jerusalem............ oh wait........ wrong coffee morning lol

Both City's and Denmans do this........ always when you don't need anything calibrated!!!!

Yea I think I'll be using as while you wait service in future, just had JW on the phone it don't look like I'm getting mine back until thurs now!! Fuming

I use JW Instruments all the time and have never really had an issue, It sounds like you have had a poor experiance but i know the owner very well and he is a very genuine guy.
I hope though that you get your meter sorted soon, btw I have no connection to JW other than i know him and his family personally.

look on the bright side. if you'd had it back last week you might have dropped it in a cesspit whilst testing.

Theres a bloke called Gary Stevens, he is an Elecsa assessor, he has a cal set in his van, he will do it for you at assessment time for a fee. If i recall he is in the North Lincs, come South Yorks, Doncaster area somewhere near Hatfield or Thorne. Dont know if he advertises his services though.

Cheers........Howard
