MFT recommendations

Hi all. Looking at buying a new mft. Currently using a Fluke 1652c, nothing wrong with it but looking for something newer. It will mostly be for testing in domestic & commericial settings so regular testers will know the sort of features im looking for. Its silly little things with my current fluke that are starting to annoy me. At the moment im focusing on Megger or Fluke. Any suggestions would be greatley appriciated!

We use the Megger MFT1711 testers which does most things you would need unless you do a lot of Earth Rod installs for Car Chargers or Caravan Parks as then you would need its bigger brother the 1731 / 1741

I was looking at the 1741,I’m looking at doing an EV course later in the year.

I would go for a megger 1741. That's my opinion cause you just plug it in with out keep charging the batts

Not much love for the Fluke's! I'm surprised no one has said fluke yet. Any reason why you have Megger over any other type?

all the fluke boys are happy with them and if they recommend them demand goes up and price goes up ... so we keep quiet

Hahaha! I always found my fluke to be pretty bomb proof. Was second hand when I bought it and it’s done me really well.
