Hi Guys
I have been asked to fit a socket in a church ( spurred from another one) Customer sai d she has had another quote stating that it must be in MICC very expensive !! I see no reason why it cant be done in FP200or similar. Anybody out there think any different ?.
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Its a church and usually listed building seek local council advice as micc bare-back is usually the pref' as it can blend in well with the building. Last thing you want is to have to rip out offensive bright red wires because they stick out like a sore thumb.

If you read page 66 to 69 in 17th edition you see a regulation stating as it public building that is could be listed or histroric then MICC or similiar fireproof cabling must be used, so I do not have BS7671:2008 with me at present (640 come to mind), but read about it recently as I quoted to do an inspection of a similar type building.

If you did use FP type cable the other sheath must be zero halagon, low smoke will not do.
