Finally the boschhammer has come to the end of its life so i've been looking at replacing either with another boschhammer or a milwaukee sds, i can get one with 2 3.0Ah batteries for ÂŁ300 or one with 2 4.0Ah batteries for ÂŁ470, is it worth the extra for the 4.0Ah?

Got the dewalt xr 18v 4ah and I would say it will cope with it, chopping out sockets will drain battery's get usually 1-2 sockets and chases per battery depending on material of wall but for drilling holes and fixing stuff it will cope for an 18v

I have the makita lxt202 and its a fantastic kit but i took a shine to the milwaukee stuff at a robert price do last week, the 18v impact driver was amazing! So light and it had 2 torque settings but i can't afford to buy it all at once! Dewalt is ****e! Well at least the old stuff i had was, the new stuff may be different

dewalt xr

The standard makita drill will usually last all day. Ive been drilling all day and only had to swap the battery once.

20min charge is way overkill for how long the batteries last.

Mates got a standard dewalt and they eat batteries so its a good thing they have brought out a brushless version.

(Take my experience with the dewalt with a grain of salt, its not unusual to go to use his drill and all 5 of his batteries are dead, good chance none were fully charged when i used them)
