i learnt my lesson with this already- your need a new impact by next xmasImpact driver with screw end flat bit - controlled and accurate - doesn’t need any pressure on it, it just pulls its way through. I wouldn’t use a drill anymore, ridiculous amount of self energy needed.
Ear foams for the noise and onward you go. Goes through big oak and easy pine.

I used a 10.8v Bosch for 1 1/2 years and it’s still going strong. The 18v has taken over and I still believe in using it for holes in joists. I’ve introduced many other sparks to it and have got a few out of a tricky situation (last of space etc)i learnt my lesson with this already- your need a new impact by next xmas
