Is there any difference in minimum distance for an fsu from a hob than a
Socket. I know it's 300mm for sockets but can't find if its different for FSU's. thanks a lot.
 
That is guidance only
You need to consider the trailing flexes and whether there is risk of it getting fried for a socket
A fcu may have no trailing flex and if not affected directly by any heat, a closer distance may be acceptable to yourself
