Hi all,

A question that I’ve seen come up a few times on here & other forums is can you get plastic flush boxes? Usually to replace rusted galv boxes in damp walls.

Has anybody used the MK Egatube conduit system? They have plastic flush boxes as part of the range & I’m on the look out for some for the same reason as above. I’ve attached a pic showing them in the catalogue.

A quick google search comes up with nothing & I’ve asked a supplier but still waiting on an answer. Any ideas where to get them please?

Cheers Andy

Haven’t seen Egatube in a long time , it will almost certainly be special order from the average wholesalers

I used to get all my MK stuff from Edmundsons but now tend to use other makes

Andy try homedepot. Com if you can get it

We use Marshall tufflex , if my memory is correct egatube were the first to manufacture plastic conduit. Unfortunately I am old enough to remember the launch of plastic conduit. In Certain situations plastic tube is superb.

When I first went on site in the mid 1990s all the old boy sparks always referred to any plastic conduit as ‘egatube’

Much like many new breed reference plastic flexi conduit as ‘kopex’

You will probably have to contact some of the big national wholesalers and see of they have any old back stock of the stuff.
I know Edmundsons back in the day used to hold a fair amount of old MK stuff , like old grid stuff and trunking etc
