Most Used Electrical Suppliers & Electrical Wholesalers

Recently we asked the forum who they used as their electrical suppliers the most. We asked for 3 or so options, and reasons why weren't mandatory but some provided details.

We've now collated the responses and have put them in a poll to allow the forum to vote for the most used electrical suppliers in the UK.

As not all electrical suppliers will be listed, we are happy to add to the poll if we spot more new names being mentioned in reply to this poll.

Votes are multiple choice - All votes are public, so everybody can see who has voted.

I saw your comment, there's a lot of posts deleted because this thread is like a spam magnet. I've reapproved the spam so you can see it, we also had some posts where an underhanded wholesaler using an alias was making some choice comments in this thread about one of his competitors, those posts are still deleted.

I used travis Perkins for all electrical goods through work, for myself though I use ECS on meanwood road in Leeds and Oldfields on skipton or keighley both and the best independents I've ever dealt with

Same here, ECS, Falcon, Yess electrical are the main 3 I use. Screwfix & toolstaion for screws, drill bits, multitool blades etc.

Select items from Toolstation. But mainly use screwfix (like to click and collect, as saves time and earns money through TopCashBack!) Occasionally use CEF oh and also LED hut (also onTopCashBack)

Never looked at there prices before.
I take it they are quite competitive. May have to look into what they can do.

Its bad news when the public can buy cheaper than our so-called discounted rates at the wholesalers. I would like to support my wholesalers, but more often than not, I have to buy from Electrifix. Having said that, the click and collect and delivery is second to none..
CEF have a good internet service but are at times blimin expensive.

im buying a lot of tools etc from ebay shops now, the click and collect at argos is sometimes quicker than amazon

I use screwfix when i have to, but i get virtually everything from my local merchant in Bridlington - West BS.
good stock holding, friendly and helpful staff, and cheaper than screwfix too

Hi, please add my favourite online electrical shop for testers, calibrators, meters and electricians / PAT training. It is Instrotech - Instrotech Ltd - Electrical Test Equipment Distributor

They have very good customer service and are always helpful and knowledgeable about what they sell.

I only voted for screwfix because electric center isn't on the list very fair and friendly . I won't use Cef waste of time . I was in one branch won't name them stood at the counter for a good 10 mins and repeatedly rang the bell all sat in the office on their fat arses couldn't be bothered to serve me so that done it for me that was 15 yrs ago and they are quite local rather drive 5 miles somewhere else .

birmingham branch then.

ive been in coalville branch and i couldnt believe i was in aa cef branch.

there was no one else in there and there were two, yes two people on the counter when i walked in.
