We've got a similar problem so looking to build something...

Ours is sheltered and will be stood on it own, looking at a large cross section (4 x 4 minimum) tanalised timber structure - very rural that will fit in with it's location, wpg best exterior grade ply (good country builders merchant will know what that is - don't ask Travis Perkins :) ) and bolted down to concrete slabs.

We're struggling to come up with any other solution.

We've seen it done before - here's an example - there was literally no where else to put it without building a brick wall!

Thoughts ...

@lamp - photo please,

Though I'm not sure that a galvanised (once cut) frame will last any longer than 4x4 tanalised (I've got a 4 x 4 tanalised structure in my garden 25+ years old and still got another 20 years of life in it) . Stainless Steel maybe.

Strut should last at least as long as treated timber once the cut ends have been galv sprayed.
Plus a lot stronger. I usually drop a couple of ends 3ft into postcrete and then build a frame up off that.

Will get some piccy's next ground mount job I do (wall mount inverter but will be a lot of tray run on strut posts)

Just thought it through, we've got a few lengths of S/S tray in the yard, I'm going to get them to make up a frame using that tomorrow and see how it works.

It'll be strong by the time I'm finished! - It's just a small Power-one PVI 3,6-TL-OUTD , so doesn't weigh near as much as an SMA SB 4000TL-20 :)
