Simon, while I agree that the OP needs some slack cutting his way, I'll gladly be the first to cut him some but is it wise for one who asks the questions he did to move a CU? After all he had no idea about the 3 metre rule and since we can't pull the DNO cutout (nudge nudge wink wink ) he could be working with live tails.

Kukisiani, how long have you been a qualified electrician? Where and what country did you quallify in? And how long have you been self employed? I'm really interest in your answers, not to attack you, but for my own queer and twisted interests!

And I would seek the advice of a veteran electrician and post some photos on here so we can see your dilema :)

You hate the stuff because you've never been trained in the art of MICC work!! Which then brings into question if indeed you are an electrician!! ...lol!! I bet that you don't like metallic conduit/trunking work either, and probably for exactly the same reason....

As Trev1 has correctly stated, get it right (know what your doing) and it's great stuff!! There is no other wiring system to touch it in terms of impunity to environmental conditions and it's longevity, to name just 2 of Many,Many advantages MICC can give to an installation!!!

Apart from when it met my spade! (don't bite just messing)
