Hi all , just on the qms course in Chesterfield and had a mcs guy to anser some questionsCan you guys tell me if I Move house in 5 years can I take the feed in tarrif with me , if not what feed in tarrif would the new people get if I'm getting 43 p and in 5 years the feed in tarrif is say 23 p , would they be on the 43 or 23 p

If you have a PV system installed then sell your house you can in theory take the feed in tariff payments with you. However, you would probably need to put a contract in place with the people buying the house as there will be potential issues with things like if a tile ever needs replacing on the roof with the PV system - not unlike what you see with the companies providing "free" PV systems. I would also expect it to put off many people that were considering buying the house, I think it would more than remove any potential increase in value that was caused by installing the system in the first place. The FIT payments would stay based on the rate that was applicable when the system was commissioned.

Regards,
Karl

It is unlikely that any new systems installed in 5 years time will attract a feed in tariff. You also can't take your panels with you.
