Hi there...

Just in process of renovating a property (my folks) and need to shift solar gear over 'a little.'

I'm a sparky, but zero experience of Solar.

Looks like it comes down from panels into 2x black DC isolators then off to invertor. No isolation up in loft near to panels.

So looks like may have to move the isolators live !!

Any thoughts/help please. Unplug panels maybe?

Cheers Sy

disconnect and move one cable at a time while the other cable is still isolated in the isolator, that way while the cable is live there's no possibility of you being electrocuted as the circuit can't be completed.

The circuits are electrically separated from earth as long as the AC and DC isolators are switched off and there's no fault on the cable (do an insulation resistance check to earth first to be sure on that).
