Multi Function Test Unit Help!!!

Sad I know, but I recently built a wiring test setup in my garage containing consumer unit, 2 x ring mains, 2 lighting circuits etc etc. I am wanting to purchase a second hand multifunction tester to play around with testing etc for when I finally qualify.

Can anyone tell me what tests are required for domestic installations?

And can anyone recomend a good tester which will allow me to practice these tests on my setup?

I have seen Megger 1502/2 for around the £200 mark or the 1552 for around £350 which is a little higher than I really wanted to pay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ins resistance
polarity
earth fault loop
add protection
pfc
ze
get what you pay for megger 1552 my personal fav but any 17th multi or seperates will do

Cool thanks for your help. I have decided to go for a 1552 and have consequently just put a load of stuff on evilbay to help fund my purchase.
