What's the best fellas? An individual testing device like the Megger 1230 or seperate devices for specific testing?

I would say this is down to personal choice, both have there Plus an Minus sides, depending on the instrument(s) you intend to use. I suppose some of the MFTs these days, have useful extras on them that your not going to get with any of the separates sets. But then, if an MFT fails, you tend to lose everything. ....So really, you pays your money and takes your chance at the end of the day... lol!!!

I prefer to have them all separate, just used to them at my old company we used to use separate robin testers, which i think is now kewtech. I think I'll end up being converted to multifunction testers, but it won't be soon. I dunno what were you trained with what are you used to?

I use separates mostly because they are cheap to buy used.Robin RCD, Kewtech insulation/continuity, Megger loop.Picked up a nice spare Megger RCD for just 12.50. But I think when I am more affluent I will go for a Megger MFT.Its annoying having to change over leads and testers when I am in a hurry.
