I'll put it even more off thread now. There was a TV series in the late Seventies, James Burke Connections, with the inception of credit cards in the middle ages, leading to putting a man on the moon. There, derailed it again. :)

Back on crows. They are the only birds that fly for fun - you watch then in stormy weather - they love it! Crows are great!

Only shot it last Tuesday and it was shooting half inch groups over 25 yards after the first 10 pellets. Not bad at all. Can't wait to get back to the range tomorrow night.

I'm Durham constabulary, my uncle knows someone who knows someone and reckons applications are currently taking 12 weeks but we'll see. As for escort, simply because my mate it selling one for £250 (to me, more if it wasn't to me). I've shot it a few Times and quite like it, and think it would make a good introduction to shotgun ownership

Hi dude,i've owned Hatsan semi's in 12 and 20 guage,Turkish made,not bad,but i did end up making a new S/S firing pin for the 20 guage.
They are easy to strip and clean, which is a must for a S/A,but the most reliable semi's are usually Berrettas,300 series. My missus shoots a AL391 and it is boringly reliable :)

My 14 year old now needs ticketing up,as he seems to have a flair for the clays...

Make sure you get the tool kit with your Escort (giggerty),there should be a set of chokes + key,a magazine stop, and a tool for the mag tube.
If it is in good order, clean and bedded in,it should cycle 21 gram 12 G cartridges - happy shooting ;)

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be buying it off my mate so I know its exact history, and he will make sure it comes with all the bells and whistles. He just sent me a photo tonight actually of it in pieces - he's cleaning it up ready for a go at the clays on Sunday for me

I thought electrics had some terminology but wow - I am so lost with what you two are talking about that I'm not even going to google a couple of the words (which I normally would). Great to hear your passion.

@hightower "For Christmas this year I've just got a BSA Lightning SE XL GRT .22, and have just today sent off for my shotgun licence. Once that comes back I'm eyeing up a Hatsan Escort Semi-Auto"

Good man. You won't regret it. It's so much fun.

That is very cool. It would be the end user software that would make that the absolute king.
