Working in a kitchen and 5 mins ago the customer went to unplug the coffee maker plugged into the same double socket as my iPhone charger, as he went to unplug the coffee maker my iPhone charger exploded the whole of the socket is now black, it had triped the MCB back at the CU, RCD still up, for it to go bang must have been a live to neutral fault..

Anyone have any ideas??

typical. about the same as thinking if they turn the oven to maximum temperature, it will heat up quicker. OH, and my tools and gear are "all your crap" until a light fitting or a socket needs replacing.

Ha ha ha, I get that all the time, "move your crap from the bottom of the stairs"... I have it piled at the door ready to take out in the morning.... Along with the trunking, conduit and 6ft fluorescent fittings neatly laid up the stairs..... Don't see what the problem is

Reminds me of the time when we were taking my grandma to the shops....she was sat in the back of the car looking cold so we said "do you want the heating turning up"? Ooh dont do that on my count she says ....i wouldn`t want you to run up a heating bill..........
