If we are naming what we have ; my mains SDS is makita, I have a 36v TE6A but that doesn’t have just a hammer action for chiselling so last year got the Bosch 18v SDS which gives me all I need for small chasing jobs.
I’m happy with these 3 and ‘try’ to look after them.
 
might only need a new set of brushes. man up and open it.
I thought I had hit a main cable it made such a flash and bang, not sure its just bushes, think something exploded inside it, will take a look when I get a moment, but normally am of the view that mending them is normally hit and miss, it has already been taken apart once and the clutch is f&*(^$ already due to using it as a core drill :-)
